The inaugural Bands4Barnardo's Christmas EP features 4 of the most exciting up and coming bands and artists on the Manchester music scene.
The money raised from sales will go directly to Barnardo's 'The Curve' service. The Curve has been running for over 16 years providing advice, guidance and support to care experienced young adults who have lived in care such as children's homes or foster care.
The Barnardo’s Curve service supports over 700 young people aged 16–24 leaving care in Manchester. Leaving care can be an uncertain time and it is when some young people can have a lot of difficulties. The Barnardo's Curve service helps young people to develop plans and follow their career aspirations and ambitions.
The Barnardo's Curve ensures that thought has been given to preparing that young person for the time when they will need to leave care, and that proper plans are in place to ensure that their life will run as smoothly as possible towards this goal in the future. The Curve works with young people from about the age of 16 until they are at least 21.
The whole 4-track EP can be downloaded for just £2 with all proceeds going to Barnardo's. *
Many thanks in advance to those of you who decide to get involved, support the Manchester music scene and help raise money for Barnardo's at Christmas!
